Kathie Lee Gifford Reveals How Donald Trump ‘Saved’ Her and Her Daughter’s Lives in the ’90s – Video

In a recent interview on “The Sage Steele Show,” Kathie Lee Gifford recounted a harrowing experience from 1993 when former President Donald Trump intervened to protect her and her newborn daughter, Cassidy, from a dangerous stalker.

At the time, Gifford was preparing to host the Miss America pageant in Atlantic City. Her husband, Frank Gifford, received a call from the FBI informing him of a “psychopathic murderer” who had threatened Kathie Lee. The FBI advised Frank to maintain their regular schedule to avoid alerting the suspect. However, Frank felt compelled to seek additional protection and reached out to Donald Trump, who owned the Miss America franchise at that time.

Trump responded promptly, assuring Frank, “I’ve got your girls.” He arranged for a helicopter to transport Kathie Lee and her daughter to Atlantic City, citing her recent childbirth as the reason for the special arrangement. Upon arrival, Kathie Lee was met by a security team that remained with her throughout the week, though she was unaware of the underlying threat.

It wasn’t until she saw a newspaper headline reading “Kathie Lee Gifford, death threat” that she realized the gravity of the situation. The following day, while at a movie theater with her son, the FBI informed her that the stalker had been apprehended.

Reflecting on the incident, Gifford expressed deep gratitude toward Trump, stating, “That’s my friend Donald. Saved my life. Saved my daughter’s life. And if I called him today, would save it again.”

This revelation sheds light on a personal and protective side of Donald Trump, highlighting his willingness to assist friends in times of crisis.
