Netanyahu thanks US military

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu recently expressed his deep gratitude to the United States military for its support and partnership with Israel, particularly amid growing regional tensions. Speaking during his visit to Washington, D.C., Netanyahu highlighted a recent show of military strength conducted by the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) as a pivotal moment that sent a clear message to Iran and other regional adversaries.

Netanyahu referred to the U.S. military’s actions as a vital display of deterrence and a demonstration of the unwavering alliance between the two nations. He praised the courage, professionalism, and operational excellence of American forces, stating that their presence and actions in the Middle East contribute significantly to the stability and security of the region. In his remarks, he emphasized the critical role the U.S. plays in maintaining peace and confronting threats that endanger both Israeli and broader regional interests.

He specifically cited the joint efforts of U.S. and Israeli forces, describing them as “two lions roaring together,” a metaphor that underscored the unity, strength, and shared strategic vision between the allies. Netanyahu noted that the recent coordinated military maneuvers and strategic overflights were not merely symbolic acts but critical in sending a message of strength and resolve to those who might consider aggressive actions, particularly Iran, which he accused of continuing its efforts toward nuclear capability and sponsoring terrorist activity throughout the region.

The Israeli leader also praised the U.S. military’s steadfast commitment to defending democratic values and its readiness to respond to emerging threats. He called the partnership between the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) and the U.S. military one of the strongest and most effective security alliances in the world, built on decades of cooperation, trust, and mutual interests. Netanyahu stressed that Israel views the United States not only as an ally but as a partner in the struggle to uphold peace, freedom, and justice in a volatile region.

Netanyahu’s comments were delivered alongside senior American defense officials, including U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, who reiterated the United States’ unwavering support for Israel’s right to defend itself. Hegseth described Israel as a “model ally” and affirmed that the strength of the U.S.–Israel alliance lies in its shared values, strategic alignment, and close military collaboration. He acknowledged the deep bonds between the soldiers of both countries and highlighted ongoing joint training exercises, intelligence sharing, and operational planning.

The Prime Minister also addressed the growing threat posed by Iran and its proxies in Lebanon, Syria, and elsewhere, saying that the best way to prevent war is through strength. He noted that the presence of American forces in the region acts as a stabilizing factor and that their recent actions have not gone unnoticed by adversaries. Netanyahu said that the Israeli public appreciates the sacrifices made by American service members and the important role they play in protecting shared democratic ideals.

Furthermore, Netanyahu affirmed that Israel remains committed to its strategic partnership with the United States and will continue to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with American forces in the face of mutual threats. He pledged to deepen military and intelligence cooperation, expand joint defense initiatives, and work toward maintaining a technological edge in the region.

He also referenced recent regional developments and emphasized that the ongoing cooperation between Israel and the United States serves as a deterrent to those who might consider exploiting instability for their own gain. According to Netanyahu, when adversaries see the unity and strength of the U.S.–Israel alliance, they think twice before taking aggressive action.

Netanyahu concluded his remarks with a personal message to American troops, expressing heartfelt appreciation for their courage, service, and sacrifice. He said that Israelis sleep more soundly at night knowing that the United States stands firmly with them and that the alliance will continue to be a cornerstone of Israel’s national security.

This public show of gratitude and reaffirmation of alliance comes at a time when global attention is focused on the Middle East, and both Israeli and U.S. leaders are working to maintain strategic stability in an increasingly complex and dangerous environment.
